EzyDog Doggy Flotation Device Life Jacket, Red, Medium

Editor's note

The listing's claim is up to 50 percent more buoyancy than a traditional vest, and the guide's use for extra buoyancy is specific. A river, boat or kayak trip, where a tired dog needs its head kept up after it stops paddling. Or a non-swimmer or a flat-faced breed that sits low in the water. For a calm pool, that much float is more than the dog needs.

The listing describes a neck clip and a belly clip. The guide wants two side-release buckles on the belly, not one, because a single strap lets the jacket spin during a lift. Check the strap count before trusting it on a boat.

Size by chest girth, standing, and treat weight as a second check. Medium on the guide's rough map is a 22 to 30 inch chest. Verify against the maker's chart.
