Heeyoo Outdoor Foldable Dog Bed, Blue, Medium

Editor's note

A foldable pad is the guide's pick for inside a tent. Cots snag tent floors and can puncture them on granite. A pad folds, insulates the dog from the ground, and gives it a defined spot so it settles rather than pacing the tent and ending up on your sleeping bag.

The listing gives waterproof, non-slip Oxford fabric that machine washes, and says plainly that it is not for an excessive chewer. Dry it fully after washing. That is the listing's own advice, and a damp bed packed away is how a bed goes bad.

Size it by measuring the dog stretched out on its side, nose to base of tail, plus 6 inches. That fits diagonally at the foot of a two-person tent. Bigger pushes the dog into the vestibule, where the ground damp wins by morning.
