Glad for Pets Heavy Duty Activated Carbon Dog Training Pads, 24 x 24-in, 30 count

Editor's note

These pads are in the incontinence guide for one job, odor. When smell in the room is the actual problem, the activated carbon layer is what is worth paying for. Disposables also earn their place in crates and on heavy nights, and the listing says these work as crate and carrier liners.

They are less suited to the predictable spot under a bed, where washable pads cost less over time. On hard floors a disposable slides unless it is taped down.

Carbon is not a cure for smell that starts elsewhere. Often the source is the skin and bedding rather than the pad. Clean and dry the animal after episodes and check the skin daily for redness.
