Benebone 2-Pack Wishbone Dental Chew Dog Toy, Large

Editor's note

The wishbone shape solves one specific problem. A dog needs to pin a chew with its paws to work it, and a straight bone rolls away. This is nylon, so it is in the same class as the guide's other hard option. It shreds into flakes rather than chunks, and it is hard enough to fail the thumbnail test, so the fracture risk is real.

It is for the dog that has already gone through firm rubber in days. Start with rubber. If the black compound lasts two weeks, you never need this.

Buy the size above the chart, supervise, and check the back teeth every few months. Two in the pack. Retire either when pieces start coming off.
