Frisco Heavy Duty 21-in Extra Wide Perch Cat Tree with Sisal Scratcher

Editor's note

Width over height, for a smaller room. The guide's position is that a compact tree in the right place beats a tall one in the wrong place. A stable low tree beats a swaying tall one every time. This is the compact pick. The listing gives an extra-wide perch with a washable cover, a sisal post and a sisal pad on a sturdy base.

The wide top matters more than it looks. A tall narrow tower with a small platform rocks on landing, gets tested once and is then avoided. A large cat, or two cats, can actually lie on this one.

Put it by a window in a room you use. If the sofa is still losing after the tree is in place, the fix is a tall post beside the sofa, not a bigger tree.
