Kurgo The Gourd H2O Dog Water Bottle & Bowl, Coastal Blue, 24-oz bottle

Editor's note

The hydration guide places this bottle right after its list of early dehydration signs, and that is the context for it. Senior dogs can be measurably dehydrated before they drink on their own. Kidney function drops with age and thirst signals weaken.

The listing describes a 24 oz bottle with a flip top for you and a bowl that detaches for the dog. On a walk it means the dog drinks from something clean instead of a curb.

Offer water often rather than waiting for the dog to ask. Tacky gums or skin that is slow to snap back are worth checking, and any two warning signs together warrant a vet call.
