LickiMat Kitty Non-Skid Thermoplastic Rubber Cat Bowl, Green, Standard

Editor's note

Cats need the cat-sized version of the same idea, not a scaled-down dog product. Shallow, wide and low is the shape that works, and whisker contact is a real aversion for some cats. That is why the guide names this rather than a dog mat cut down.

The listing gives different rubber textures for kibble, wet food or pate, a hydration well, and a mat that goes in the freezer. Frozen is how it lasts.

The failure is the same as for any enrichment. The food comes out of the daily ration, not on top of it, or the mat becomes a slow route to a heavier cat. And no gadget shortens the day. It makes the hours structurally better, which is a smaller and more honest claim.
