Nylabone Power Chew Easy-Hold Dog Dental Chew Toy Easy Hold Bacon, Large

Editor's note

Hard nylon, for the dog that destroys rubber. The guide is straight about the trade. Nylon shreds into small bristly flakes rather than breaking into swallowable chunks, which is a good way to fail. It is also hard enough to fail the thumbnail test, so the risk of a slab fracture on a back tooth is real and not marketing caution.

Buy it only after the black rubber compound has lasted days rather than weeks. Then buy the size up, supervise, and look at the back teeth every few months. Most owners find a fractured carnassial at a dental exam, not from the dog.

The listing gives four paw grips, which help a dog pin it to work it. Retire it when the ends are worn down and pieces start coming off.
