Dudpud Durable Bully Stick Holder Dog Chew Toy, Brown, Large

Editor's note

Power chewers reduce a bully stick to a short stub fast and then swallow it, and the guide is clear that the stub is the hazard. This holder grips the last portion so the dog cannot get it down whole. The guide calls it the cheapest fix it lists for a genuinely common emergency.

The listing describes food-grade nylon mixed with coffee-wood fiber and an adjustable opening for different stick sizes. Bully sticks are sold separately.

It suits a dog that swallows things rather than shredding them. Nylon hard enough to resist a heavy chewer can still fail the thumbnail test, so check the back teeth every few months. Retire the holder once pieces start coming off.
