Frisco Wave Cat Scratcher Toy with Catnip, Natural Chevron

Editor's note

The horizontal option, cheap enough to try alongside a vertical post. Cats are individuals about orientation, and the guide's advice is to offer both once before concluding anything about what yours prefers. A cat that ignores every upright post may simply scratch flat, and nobody has offered it the choice.

It is pressed cardboard, so it shreds, and that is the material working rather than failing. The wave shape gives something to grip and stretch against. The listing includes a catnip packet.

Put it beside whatever is being scratched now. A scratcher in the spare room loses to the sofa on location before material comes into it.

About this product

The wavy vibe of this scratcher from Frisco by Chewy is just right for getting a good grip and stretching while scratching. The layers of pressed cardboard shred easily under your cat’s claws, allowing them to satisfy their instinctive scratch habit and support nail health while keeping cat claws away from furniture. A packet of catnip is included for an added chill (or thrill) factor, and the built-in paper lining prevents catnip from falling through the scratcher and ending up on your floor.
