RenewedPet Flea, Tick & Bug Repellent Spray for Dogs, 2-fl oz bottle

Editor's note

The guide lists a repellent spray as a low-friction supplement to a dog's prescribed monthly preventative, applied before wooded trails, and this is the one it attaches. The listing describes natural ingredients against mosquitoes, gnats, ticks and fleas, in a 2 ounce bottle that fits a pocket.

A spray is the supplement, not the plan. The guide's tick strategy is the monthly preventative from your vet first, the spray on top, and a full tick check within four hours of getting home. Behind the ears, under the collar, in the armpits, between the toes.

Tick activity runs from March to November across most of the country, and year-round in some regions, so a spray used once in summer is not a tick strategy. It is a small extra on top of one that already exists.
