DOGNESS Automatic WiFi Dog & Cat Smart Feeder with HD Camera, Grey

Editor's note

The guide's position on this category is that the camera is worth the money and the treat launcher is the part most likely to make things worse. This device has no launcher. It is an app-controlled feeder with a camera and a recorded voice call for meals, which is a real job and a useful one.

Buy it for the meals. If the actual problem is that dinner lands late because you do, and you also want eyes on the room, this fits. If the problem is a dog that panics when you leave, it is the most common way this money gets wasted. Nothing that dispenses food treats a panic disorder.

Before buying anything, point any camera you already own at the room for three departures and watch the first twenty minutes. That footage decides what you need next.
