Small Pet Select Recycled Pelleted Paper Cat Litter, 10-lb box

Editor's note

The clumping litter guide lists these paper pellets for low-dust homes that want a soft, unscented litter.

They are recycled paper and do not clump. The maker claims they absorb three times more than traditional clay and suggests a gradual switch, filling the box with 80% new litter and layering the old litter on top.

Pellets feel very different from the fine litter most cats prefer. Change one box at a time and keep a familiar box available until the cat uses the new one reliably.
