SunGrow Tick & Flea Comb for Short Haired Dog & Cat, Small Pet Shedding & Grooming Tool

Editor's note

A fine-toothed comb helps on short-coated dogs and catches unattached ticks before they find a spot, which is why the tick guide picks this one. It turns the daily post-walk check from a quick pat into a real search.

Run it slowly against the coat. Spend longest inside the ears and under the collar, two spots ticks favor. The listing describes stainless steel teeth on a light grip.

It is for finding ticks, not removing an attached one. Fine-tipped tweezers do that job, pulled straight up with steady pressure. Do not twist or burn the tick.
