Frisco Quilted Orthopedic Pillow Lounger Cat & Dog Bed with Removable Cover, Gray, Medium

Editor's note

The flat pillow is the guide's default shape, and this is the one it points to. Nothing to climb over, the whole surface usable, easy to put wherever the dog actually sleeps. For a dog with weak hind legs that matters more than any bolster. Dogs quietly stop using beds they find awkward to get into.

The listing describes a single piece of solid memory foam under a removable, machine-washable cover. Do the press test anyway. The word orthopedic is unregulated, and foam that flattens under your hand will flatten under the dog.

What it lacks is a waterproof layer between the cover and the foam. One accident soaks in and the foam never recovers. If the dog has accidents, add a separate foam protector or look at the waterproof pick in the same guide.
