ThunderEase Powered by ADAPTIL Calming Pheromone Collar for Dogs, Large, up to 24-in neck

Editor's note

A pheromone collar, as a low-expectation adjunct. The guide's position is blunt. Separation anxiety is a panic disorder, and panic disorders are treated by a plan run over weeks, not by objects. Pheromones are the clearest example of a low-cost, low-risk extra that may help a little in the background while the real plan runs.

The collar has one practical edge over a plug-in diffuser. It travels with the dog rather than with the room.

How it goes wrong is predictable. It gets bought as the treatment, nothing changes in three weeks, and the owner concludes the problem is untreatable. Run it if the low cost appeals, judge it within two weeks on video, and start the training either way. The listing promises an end to barking and chewing. The guide's word for that kind of claim is packaging.
